Back in March of 2020 when all of Kansas City was shutdown, we at Smoke Tokz smoke and vape shop knew that COVID-19 was a serious problem not only for our business but for our customers and the community at large. Like most businesses in Kansas City last year when COVID-19 hit, we were all required to shut our doors for a bit but that gave us ample time to evaluated how we could safely reopen when the city allowed keeping our staff and customers safe from the virus. We installed markers on our floors to remind our customers to stay 6 feet apart, added plexiglass panels to our counters, required our staff to wear masks and gloves at all times, and frequently cleaned and sanitized our store multiple times per day. We continue to follow these steps today as clearly COVID-19 has not gone away in Kansas City by any stretch of the imagination.

To date, our plan has worked exceptionally well with no known positive COVID-19 cases from our staff or customers to our knowledge. But unfortunately that isn’t the case with some of our competitors according the the Kansas City Health Department’s records which state that they chose to put profits over their own people and more importantly the safety of their customers. We won’t call them out by name but we do feel that it’s important to state that we care about our customers and staff as we couldn’t do what we do without either of them and we will continue to make sure that our smoke and vape shop in Kansas City is clean, safe, and remains open for business. As the Kansas City Health Department COVID-19 guidelines change, we will adjust our operations in sync with them but until that time comes, Smoke Tokz will continue to do everything we can to maintain a safe shopping environment for our customers and safe place to work for our staff.
